Prosaunas Alder 1x3 S4SEE sauna bench material is a silky-smooth timber that feels comfortable against bare skin in a hot sauna. Prosaunas select Alder is a popular sauna finishing material, thanks to its slight reddish hue and silky texture. Perfect for benches and floors.

Prosaunas selects the highest quality Alder with an attractive light color and subtle grain pattern. Alder wood is durable and water-resistant with a uniform pore structure and even color consistency. Because of its low heat conductivity, Alder is a popular choice for sauna surfaces and will remain comfortable to the touch even in the extreme heat of a sauna.

The S4SEE wood profile features four smooth sides and a softened edge for added comfort.

Nominal: wood boards are given in "nominal" measurements, which is the lumber’s size when it is cut from moist logs (usually 8’ / 9’ / 10’)
Actual: size after shrinkage from drying and surfacing, the actual size of lumber will be less than its nominal size. (usually 94-3/4" / 106-1/2" / 118-1/4")
