Alder is durable and naturally water-resistant with a uniform pore structure and even color consistency. Because of its low heat conductivity, Alder is a popular choice for sauna surfaces and will remain comfortable to the touch even in the extreme heat of a sauna.

The narrow, angular grooves of STS4 wall panels produce the modern nickel-gap look. STS4 can create a sophisticated contrast effect when combined with other wood profiles.

Nominal VS Actual
Nominal: wood boards are given in "nominal" measurements, which is the lumber’s size when it is cut from moist logs (usually 8’ / 9’ / 10’)
Actual: size after shrinkage from drying and surfacing, the actual size of lumber will be less than its nominal size. (usually 94-3/4" / 106-1/2" / 118-1/4")
