Harvia Cilindro

The Harvia Cilindro heaters come with either integrated controls where you have to turn the heater on from the bottom of the heater or the external control panel where you can turn the heater on from outside of your sauna. The external control panel is usually sold separately.

Cilindro is available with both integrated controls and an external control panel. If you're not on a tight budget, we recommend getting your Cilindro with an external control panel for the following reasons:

  1. It is much more convenient to turn on the sauna from the control panel placed outside of the sauna room. You don't need to bend on your knees to the heater when you want to turn the sauna on.
  1. You can set the temperature exactly to the number you want your sauna to be because of the accuracy of the digital controller.
  1. You can get a wifi add-on either immediately or at any time in the future. This allows you to control the sauna from your phone, so you can turn on

All of these Harvia Cilindro sauna heaters require you to keep a safe distance from combustible materials. 

A safety railing is also necessary and should be constructed of softwood to match the interior of the sauna. The fence should be attached to the wall and should not be placed higher than the top of the heater below the rock line.

  • A = Safety distance from combustible material on the side of the heater between the wall and wood fence.
  • B = Safety distance between the front of the heater and the wood fence.
  • C = Height above the heater. Above the heater, you need a minimum of 35 inches air cap for the heat to distribute effectively.
