Mini Sauna Heaters

We classify sauna heaters between 1.7kW to 3.5kW as mini sauna heaters. These sauna heaters are meant to be used in 1-2 person home saunas. Most of the mini sauna heaters are wired with 240V. Even though we have some 110V and 120V mini sauna heaters, we don’t recommend them for a few reasons. Main one being that sauna heaters require a lot of power, so 240V configuration offers increased efficiency and better performance at higher level compared to 110V. Also, operating high-power devices like sauna heaters on a lower voltage can lead to safety issues, including the risk of overloading your circuits. However, all of our sauna heaters are tested by regulatory agencies and are completely safe.

From the mini sauna heater collection, I would recommend looking into Harvia KIP and Amerec Junior. 

Harvia’s KIP is the most popular sauna heater model in the world. In this collection, we have KIP30B and KIP30W - first one being controlled from the site of the heater and the second one requiring an external control panel. KIP30W is capable of remote controlling through an app on your smartphone when you add in a WiFi add on. KIP30B on the other hand, has the controls integrated on the site of the heater. That makes KIP30B a cost effective choice for your home sauna. If you want to look into bigger KIP sauna heaters, there’s multiple options in the 4.5kW category.

Amerec Junior comes in two sizes; 2.2kW and 3kW. Both are controlled by an external control panel placed outside of your sauna room. Amerec Junior is made out of stainless steel. It also has industrial grade heating elements, making it a super sturdy long lasting product.

Whether you decide to go with Amerec Junior, Harvia KIP or any other bigger or smaller sauna heater from our collection you can’t go wrong.

When it comes to choosing your sauna heater, it’s always a good practice to go bigger rather than smaller. Why? Well, when the sauna heater is bit bigger than absolute minimum necessary, your sauna will heat up faster, you can reach higher temperatures if you want, and the heater will last longer because it doesn’t have to work so hard to maintain the desired temperature. I’m not telling you to buy a 12kW heater for your 1-2 person home sauna by any means, but you get the point. If your sauna is 130 cubic feet for example, you may as well go with a 4.5kW sauna heater, even though 3kW would do the same job.
