Our video introduction to SaunaLife Barrel Saunas
The number on the model means the size of the barrel. The bigger the number, the bigger the barrel.
E6, E6W, and EE6G are comfortable saunas for 3 people.
E7, E7W, and E7G are 4-person barrel saunas.
E8, E8W, E8G, and EE8G are the biggest ones on the lineup, suitable for up to 6 sauna goers at a time.
EE6G and EE8G have 2-levels on benches, which makes these barrels offer a special löyly (steam) experience. Both EE6G and EE8G have a larger 91" diameter, allowing you to sit higher up compared to other barrel saunas in this collection. Sitting higher means your body will be more equally warm during your sauna experience.
E6W, E7W, and E8W have half moon rear windows on the back.
Models that have G after the number, EE6G, E7G, E8G, and EE8G have a full tempered glass front.
The structure of SaunaLife barrel saunas is made out of nordic spruce. This is the best sauna wood for outdoor environment and can make the sauna last almost twice as long as saunas that are made out of cedar. Benches of the SaunaLife barrels are made out of Aspen, that is the most comfortable wood to sit in, thanks to it's low thermal capacity (doesn't get too hot) and smooth surface.
Your SaunaLife barrel will always come with shingles included, made out of asphalt mat. These will guide the water away from the barrel, so you will be sure to avoid the typical problems of your barrel having water inside after a rainy day.
SaunaLife barrel saunas have 2 drains, one in front and one in the back of the barrel. These will make sure all the humidity and water exits your barrel.
Lastly, thanks to the larger diameter, SaunaLife barrels have gentler arc. This combined with ergonomically curved benches and backrest will make the SaunaLife barrels much more comfortable to bath in compared to any of it's competitors.
We have multiple optional accessories you can consider getting with your SaunaLife barrel sauna:
Barrel sauna floor: available for each barrel sauna. This will level the bottom of the barrel making it more comfortable to walk in.
Enclosures: Your barrel sauna will be most likely placed outdoors, without any covers above it. This will make the control panel of your sauna heater, as well as the main module of the sauna system get exposed to harsh weather conditions. Placing these inside an enclosure will protect your gear. For your control panel, regardless of the heater system you choose, the correct enclosure would be the Sauna Gear 300. For your main module, the perfect enclosure would be Sauna Gear 302.
Lastly, we recommend a bucket and ladle package with any sauna. This will allow you to throw water onto the heater, monitor your sauna time, the temperature inside the barrel and so on.
We won't talk about the sauna heater options, since those vary based on the barrel you choose. We do have many options available with remote controlling capabilities, as well as with integrated controls on the heater for people looking for something more simple. You can also opt for a wood stove.
