HUUM Accessories Overview

Think of HUUM accessories as the finishing kit that makes installs cleaner, safer, and easier to live with. You will find control and power pieces like UKU Local or WiFi and the Extension Box for 12 to 18 kW heaters, fit and finish parts like reflector panels, embedding flanges, safety rails, and protective bedding, plus performance items like HUUM stones and the HIVE Air Tunnel. Wood-stove owners can add chimney kits sized to the correct flue. Most of these are included with a heater or package, but if you are piecing a build, replacing parts, or researching components, this page lets you pick exactly what you need. Check each product page to confirm what comes in the box for your model.

Control system

HUUM’s UKU control family runs every HUUM electric heater with the same core safety and convenience features. Choose the finish that matches your build: CLASSIC panel in colored composite, WOOD panel handmade from thermo-treated ash, or GLASS panel available in black, mirror, and gold. Panels can be recessed by default or surface-mounted with an optional frame.   

There are two operating versions. UKU Local gives on-panel control in the room or just outside it. UKU WiFi adds remote starts and scheduling through HUUM’s mobile app while still working as a standard wall controller. Both versions handle temperature setpoints and timers, include overheating protection and a child lock, and can switch sauna lighting or ventilation when wired to those circuits.   

When you buy a HUUM UKU, you’re getting a full control system, not only the wall panel. Each set includes the UKU control panel, a main module, a temperature sensor with overheat protection, a door sensor, and the factory cables for the panel and sensors. The heater, steamer, and light are not included. The main module runs heaters up to 11 kW on its own; larger 12–18 kW builds use the separate UKU Extension Box. Typical cable limits are 20 m for the panel and 10 m for the sensors, which covers most layouts.

  • Bench-integrated look: embedding flanges for HIVE, HIVE Mini, CLIFF, and STEEL hide bench cut edges for a clean finish.
  • Tower stability and touch safety: safety railings for DROP, HIVE, and CLIFF add a protective ring.
  • Faster heat-up on HIVE: consider the HIVE Air Tunnel to boost convection through the stone core. Note that all HIVE units ship with an Air Tunnel now.
  • Stone sizing: 3–5 cm stones for CLIFF or STEEL; 5–10 cm for DROP, HIVE, and wood models. Order in 33 lb boxes.
  • Higher kW Heaters: the UKU Extension Box when you pair UKU with 12–18 kW heaters.
  • Chimney kits for wood stoves: choose through-wall or through-roof kits matched to your stove’s flue size for a clean, code-compliant install.
  • Protective bedding for electric and wood: HUUM Protective Beddings shield combustible or finished floors under HIVE, HIVE Mini, STEEL, CLIFF, and HIVE Wood/Flow LS models. Choose Small or Large, plus LS-specific plates for through-wall stoves.
