Installing Indoor an Indoor Sauna Kit

Typical placements for these indoor sauna kits are bathrooms, garages, and basements. Any space that can handle the added heat and humidity from the sauna works well.

Auroom Indoor sauna kits take 1-2 days to assemble from a skilled craftsman. Foundation for an indoor sauna should be one that can handle the liquids sauna going creates, and is optimally easy to rinse after the session. A tiled floor with a drain is optimal. 

All Auroom indoor saunas use an electric sauna heater. This means you need an electrician to wire the heater and 240v line with a dedicated circuit to run the sauna. The bigger the sauna, the bigger the heater you need to go with it. This means bigger models require more power from your electrical set up.

Selecting Your Model

All Auroom saunas are made from the highest quality wood and rigorously quality assured. Performance of these models is very similar. Your sauna experience depends more on the heater selected rather than the sauna cabin you pair with the heater. When selecting a perfect model for your needs, we recommend following this simple formula:

1️⃣ Choose the perfect size


We wouldn’t recommend choosing the size based on how many bathers are going to use the sauna, but rather based on your available space. If you have more space available, go with as big of a model as you can. When a sauna manufacturer claims a sauna is e.g. ‘up to 4 people’, we have found that means those 4 bathers would literally sit on top of each other. If you want to lay down and have a comfortable amount of space, we recommend always picking as spacious of a model as possible.

2️⃣ After deciding on your size, we recommend looking at aesthetics. As said, build quality is top notch on all Auroom models, and performance more dependent on the sauna heater paired with the cabin, so it’s worth picking based on your design preference at this stage.

Sauna Heater Selection

Select something with high rock capacity. Select HUUM if the main priority is that your sauna gets super hot (like 200F°+). Select Harvia if you want reliability. Select Saunum if you want equal temperatures from head to toe. That’s it.
