This Warranty and Product Disclaimers Policy ("Policy") is an integral part of the Terms of Service governing your use of the website located at https://thesaunaheater.com (the "Site") and your purchase of products from Architecture Mates, LLC, doing business as The Sauna Heater ("The Sauna Heater," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").
PLEASE READ THIS POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING OR INSTALLING ANY PRODUCT. IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS, WARRANTY INFORMATION, AND LIMITATIONS ON OUR LIABILITY.
1. THE SAUNA HEATER'S ROLE: RETAILER AND DISTRIBUTOR
THE SAUNA HEATER IS A RETAILER AND DISTRIBUTOR, NOT THE MANUFACTURER, OF THE MAJORITY OF PRODUCTS SOLD ON THE SITE.
This includes products from HUUM, Harvia, Saunum, Mr.Steam, and other brands. We source products from manufacturers and authorized distributors and resell them to you.
The exception is our proprietary "Loyly" branded product line, which we design and manufacture or have manufactured to our specifications. Specific warranty terms for Loyly products are set forth in Section 2 below.
2. WARRANTY TERMS
2.1 Third-Party Manufacturer Products
All products from third-party manufacturers (including HUUM, Harvia, Saunum, Mr.Steam, and others) are covered exclusively by the warranties provided by their respective original equipment manufacturers ("OEM Warranties"). We do not issue, adopt, extend, endorse, or guarantee any OEM Warranty. The terms, duration, coverage, and exclusions of each OEM Warranty are set by the manufacturer.
If you experience a defect or issue that you believe is covered by an OEM Warranty, contact us at support@thesaunaheater.com. We will assist you in coordinating troubleshooting and warranty claims with the manufacturer. The ultimate decision to repair, replace, or refund a defective product rests solely with the manufacturer in accordance with their warranty terms.
2.2 Löyly Branded Products — Limited Warranty
Architecture Mates, LLC dba The Sauna Heater dba Löyly Sauna ("Löyly") provides the following limited warranty for Löyly Original Sauna products sold through the Site. This warranty is provided by The Sauna Heater as both the manufacturer and the seller of Löyly branded products.
(a) Warranty Duration.
(i) Residential Use: Thirty-six (36) months from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and production.
(ii) Commercial Use: Twelve (12) months from the date of delivery, valid only with prior written authorization from Löyly Sauna. If you intend to use the sauna in a commercial setting (including hotels, spas, gyms, rental properties, or other business facilities), you must contact us at sauna@loylyco.com before placing your order to obtain written commercial-use authorization. Use of a Löyly sauna in a commercial setting without prior written authorization voids this warranty.
(b) What Is Covered. This warranty covers defects in materials and production (commonly referred to as manufacturing defects) that arise under normal, intended residential or authorized commercial use during the applicable warranty period. Coverage includes structural components, wood panels, benches, doors, glass, heater guard rails, and factory-installed hardware.
(c) What Is Not Covered. This warranty does not cover:
(i) Natural Wood Characteristics: Natural variations in wood, including knots, grain patterns, minor discoloration, or surface cracks caused by fluctuating or excessive humidity. These are inherent characteristics of natural wood products and are not defects.
(ii) Normal Wear and Tear: Cosmetic changes resulting from regular use, including fading, surface patina, or minor wood movement.
(iii) Improper Installation or Use: Damage resulting from incorrect installation, failure to follow the installation and user manuals, misuse, neglect, abuse, or accidents.
(iv) Weather and Environmental Damage: Damage caused by lightning, flooding, storms, or other natural phenomena, or by placement of the sauna in conditions inconsistent with the installation manual (including excessive outdoor moisture exposure without appropriate protective measures).
(v) Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs: Damage caused by modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by anyone other than Löyly Sauna or an authorized Löyly service partner.
(vi) Improper Storage: Damage resulting from storing the sauna in an incorrect position, in excessive moisture, or in otherwise unsuitable conditions prior to or during installation.
(vii) Third-Party Components: Electrical heaters, control panels, and other components manufactured by third parties (such as HUUM or Harvia) that are sold alongside or bundled with a Löyly sauna are covered exclusively by the applicable OEM Warranty described in Section 2.1, not by this Löyly warranty.
(d) Warranty Claim Procedure.
(i) Defects must be reported to us within seven (7) days of discovery by contacting support@thesaunaheater.com or calling (725) 777-5484.
(ii) All claims must include proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) and supporting photographs or documentation clearly showing the defect.
(iii) Warranty coverage will be determined following an inspection, which may be conducted on-site or remotely (via photographs, video, or video call), by The Sauna Heater or an authorized service partner.
(iv) If the claim is approved, The Sauna Heater will, at its sole discretion, provide replacement parts, repair the defect, or provide a replacement unit. The remedy provided is at the sole discretion of The Sauna Heater and is limited to repair or replacement of the defective component or product. This warranty does not cover labor costs, installation costs, transportation costs, or any incidental or consequential damages.
(e) Transferability. This warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to any subsequent owner, purchaser, or recipient of the product.
(f) Designation. This warranty is a "Limited Warranty" as that term is defined under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 2301–2312). It does not provide full warranty coverage and is subject to the conditions, exclusions, and limitations described above.
2.3 Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act Compliance
To the extent that any product sold on the Site is accompanied by a written warranty from the manufacturer, such warranty is provided by the manufacturer, not by The Sauna Heater. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. Sections 2301-2312), the existence of a written warranty from the manufacturer may affect the ability to disclaim implied warranties with respect to that product. Accordingly:
(a) For products accompanied by a manufacturer's written warranty, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the duration of the manufacturer's written warranty, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
(b) For products not accompanied by any written warranty, The Sauna Heater disclaims all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
(c) Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. In such states, the above limitation may not apply to you.
THIS WARRANTY POLICY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
3. STRICT INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
WARNING: SAUNAS, SAUNA HEATERS, STEAM GENERATORS, AND RELATED EQUIPMENT INVOLVE EXTREME HEAT (UP TO 230 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT), HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICITY (UP TO 240V AND 75 AMPS), AND POTENTIAL EXPOSURE TO WATER IN PROXIMITY TO ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN RESULT IN SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY, BURNS, ELECTROCUTION, FIRE, CATASTROPHIC PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR DEATH.
By purchasing products from The Sauna Heater, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
(a) Licensed Electrician Required: All electrical components, including sauna heaters, control panels, sensors, and steam generators, must be installed by a licensed, certified, and insured electrician in strict accordance with the manufacturer's installation manual and all applicable local, state, and national electrical codes (including the National Electrical Code, or NEC).
(b) Licensed Plumber Required: All steam generators and products requiring water lines or drainage must be installed by a licensed, certified, and insured plumber in accordance with applicable plumbing codes.
(c) Clearances and Ventilation: You must strictly adhere to all manufacturer-specified safety clearances to combustible materials and ventilation requirements. Failure to do so creates a severe fire hazard.
(d) No DIY Electrical or Plumbing: The Sauna Heater strictly prohibits the do-it-yourself installation of electrical or plumbing components. This prohibition applies regardless of any general guidance provided in our educational content or consultations.
FAILURE TO USE LICENSED PROFESSIONALS FOR INSTALLATION WILL VOID ALL MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES AND CONSTITUTES A MATERIAL BREACH OF THE TERMS OF SERVICE.
4. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF PRODUCT RISKS
By purchasing or using any product from The Sauna Heater, you acknowledge that you understand the following inherent risks associated with sauna products, steam generators, cold plunges, and related equipment:
(a) Heat-related risks: Burns from contact with heated surfaces, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and dehydration from prolonged sauna use.
(b) Electrical risks: Electrical shock or electrocution from improper installation, defective wiring, or contact between water and electrical components.
(c) Fire risks: Fire resulting from improper installation, inadequate clearances to combustible materials, or malfunction.
(d) Gas risks: Gas leak, carbon monoxide poisoning, or explosion from gas-fired sauna heaters.
(e) Cold exposure risks: Hypothermia, cardiac stress, and cold shock from cold plunge use.
(f) Structural risks: Structural failure resulting from improper construction, excessive moisture, or inadequate load-bearing capacity.
(g) Slip-and-fall risks: Falls on wet surfaces in and around sauna and cold plunge areas.
You voluntarily assume responsibility for these risks to the extent they arise from the normal, intended use of the products when properly installed by licensed professionals in accordance with all applicable codes and manufacturer instructions. This acknowledgment does not waive any claim you may have based on a defective product, our gross negligence, or our willful misconduct.

5A. CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 WARNING
WARNING: Certain products sold on the Site, including sauna heaters, control panels, electrical components, sensors, wiring, treated wood and lumber, and related accessories, may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals may include, but are not limited to, lead, lead compounds, wood dust, nickel, cadmium, and certain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). This warning is provided in accordance with California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Health & Safety Code Section 25249.5 et seq.), commonly known as Proposition 65.
For more information on Proposition 65, visit the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) at: https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/.
5A.1 Scope of Warning
This Proposition 65 warning applies to all products sold on the Site that are shipped to California addresses. The warning is provided as a precautionary measure based on the composition of materials commonly used in sauna equipment, electrical components, and treated wood products. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean that the product will cause harm; it means that the manufacturer or distributor has identified that the product may expose users to one or more listed chemicals above the safe harbor levels established by OEHHA.
5A.2 Product-Specific Warnings
Certain products may contain additional, product-specific Proposition 65 warnings provided by the manufacturer on the product packaging, product labeling, or in the manufacturer's documentation. In the event of any conflict between this general warning and a product-specific warning from the manufacturer, the more specific warning controls.
5A.3 The Sauna Heater's Role
As a retailer and distributor, The Sauna Heater relies on information provided by manufacturers regarding the chemical composition of their products. We do not independently test products for Proposition 65 chemicals. If you have questions about the specific chemical composition of a product, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly. The Sauna Heater will make commercially reasonable efforts to assist you in obtaining this information upon request.
5A.4 Additional Information
If you have questions about this Proposition 65 warning or the products sold on the Site, please contact us at support@thesaunaheater.com or 1-725-777-5484.

7. SAFETY WARNINGS REGARDING MALFUNCTIONING EQUIPMENT
If you smell burning, see smoke or sparks, notice a breaker repeatedly tripping, or observe any other signs of malfunction or unsafe operation, power the unit down at the breaker immediately and discontinue use.
Do not operate any heater or equipment that is malfunctioning or suspected to be malfunctioning.
