The exterior of the Finnmark is made out of Thermal Plus™ Aspen (thermo-aspen), which is considered one of the best options to choose from. The interior is from Western Canadian cedar, bringing the beautiful look of cedar to the cabin.

Finnmark FD-5 construction

The 4-person infrared sauna from Finnmark Designs uses high-quality materials for both aesthetic appeal and durability. The interior is constructed with Western Canadian Red Cedar, valued for its antimicrobial properties, aromatic quality, and natural resistance to decay. The cedar is clear meaning it is knotless.

The exterior is made from Thermal Plus™ Aspen, which is known for its stability and resistance to warping, rot, and decay, making it ideal for long-term use in saunas. Thermal Plus means the Aspen has gone through a thermal modification process that makes it withstand high temperatures. These materials create a natural and luxurious environment, enhancing the sauna's overall longevity and performance.

The FD-5 has fully insulated walls for maximum heat retention.

Red light therapy

Red light therapy is a type of phototherapy that uses low-level light wavelengths to penetrate the skin and stimulate the production of collagen and other proteins, which can lead to numerous potential health benefits. It’s a perfect enhancement to your sauna wellness ritual.

Controller

This cabin features a built-in LCD touchscreen and Bluetooth audio. The audio system has 6” HiFi speakers to ensure good quality audio when you are enjoying the heat of the infrared sauna.

The LCD touchscreen can be also used to control the interior lighting.

Lighting

The cabin includes lighting, which can be set on the controller. There are multiple different colours to choose from.

The lighting is located on the roof of the cabin.

Ventilation

This cabin has a ventilation vent inside. The intake vent is located near the sauna heater. The exhaust vent is on the roof.

If there is need for more cooling, you can simply open the door to let in more air.

Setting up

Unloading

You will get a sauna crate/pallet delivered to your yard when you order this sauna. The pallet is 36"W x 80"D. The delivery driver will be responsible for curbside delivery and will lower the items to ground level.

The pallet weighs 654 lbs.

Electrical Requirements

The infrared panels require a 240V 15amp outlet. The plug type is NEMA 6-15P

The traditional sauna heater runs on a 240V/1PH line and requires a 20amp breaker. An electrician is needed.

Placement

You need a sturdy and level surface for this cabin. Consider where you want to locate it, for example placing it in the bedroom might not be the best idea.
