HUUM Hive Wood 17 Wood Burning Sauna Heater

The Hive Wood is HUUMs modern take on the wood-burning sauna heater in a traditional sauna building. The Wood offers an authentic wood-burning sauna experience, with soft, high heat and a robust stainless-steel flame tamer. Crafted from stainless steel, it includes a durable furnace door and a generous stone capacity for consistent heat and excellent steam capability creating great löyly (steam). The Hive Wood is made out of stainless steel in Estonia.

Note: The HIVE Wood 17 LS features an extended firebox, adding approximately 5.9 inches (150 mm) of depth compared to the standard model, making it ideal for installations where exterior wood loading or a longer burn chamber is preferred.

Ease of use

The Hive Wood is very easy to use with its easy-to-load fire chamber and lack of electrical components, this heater is perfect for people looking for a hassle and worry-free sauna experience. Make a fire in the fire chamber, add wood, wait for the heater to heat up and then enjoy your sauna experience!

Quality

This Hive wood is made out of stainless steel, made and designed in Estonia. The most vulnerable part of this heater, the flame tamer, is made of 0.2-inch stainless steel and therefore can withstand extreme temperatures. The front of the heater features a window where you can see the fire heating your sauna and see how much wood is left before adding more.

If you wish to fill the heater with wood from another room or outside, please have a look at the Hive Wood 17 LS, which has a longer fire chamber.

Stone Capacity

This HUUM Wood sauna heater has a large stone capacity of 287lbs. The large stone capacity ensures that the steam created is soft and even.

As a bonus the stones also look beautiful when wrapped around the heater. If you want the stones to wrap around the chimney, please check out in “add accessories” located above “add to cart” for the HUUM Cage and stones for the cage to make it look even more sleek!

Up to three cages can be placed on top of each other.

Setting up

Delivery

The massive stone amount of HUUM Hive requires it to be shipped on a wooden pallet. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order has been shipped out. All our shipments are fully insured. HUUM products are shipped from Chicago. The pallet will be delivered to your curbside. Carrier will call you to set up the delivery of the pallet before delivery. Shipping is free. For white glow delivery or express shipping options, contact us.

Additional Requirements

All wood heaters need a chimney kit to make sure the smoke is removed from the fire chamber. Protective bedding is also required under the heater if the floor is made out of combustible material such as wood, to ensure there is no fire hazard outside the fire chamber.

Sauna Sizing

This HUUM Hive Wood sauna heater is suitable for home saunas up to 565 adjusted cubic feet. Use our calculator or contact if you want to verify the size of your sauna.
