Designed to complement any environment, Hele Glass Double is the pinnacle of premium saunas. This sauna is shipped fully assembled and measures 177"L x 90.5"W x 98.5"H. The furniture-quality seats are hand-bent eight-layer structures, which creates a perfect setting for socializing with other sauna enthusiasts. The substantial Hele Double Luxury gives you premium conveniences like a changing room in addition to the sauna. With this sauna, you can choose between wood-fired or electrically heated versions.

Haljas Houses Handbook USA

This sauna will be shipped on a flatbed truck, fully assembled. Shipping cost to USA & Canada will be determined based on your address. Please contact us before placing your order for a quote and details.

Haljas Houses leave the factory fully assembled and are transported to the U.S. via shipping container. They are shrink-wrapped, covered in bubble wrap and then crated, prior to transport. They are transported by a flatbed truck or a container with a high cube according to your location.

Offloading and transport of this product will require special equipment. The driver is responsible for “delivery only” and will provide limited assistance at the site. Prior to shipping this product, we contact customers to share shipment details & needs, and discuss any extenuating delivery circumstances that may complicate or cause additional delivery expenses. Our goal is to ensure your project’s success.

This Estonian outdoor sauna is a blend of traditional and modern materials. It features strong 60mm CLT panels for the base and ceiling, with interior options in Aspen or Thermo-Alder. Thermally modified pine or alder posts and a durable EPDM roof ensure longevity. Tempered double-glazed mirror-effect glass provides privacy, and IP-65 rated LED strips offer efficient lighting. Designed for both beauty and functionality, this sauna showcases superior Nordic craftsmanship.

Hele Double Sauna Construction

This handcrafted masterpiece is designed with a blend of traditional materials and modern technology. The structure begins with robust Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) panels for the bottom and ceiling, ensuring both stability and excellent thermal insulation.

The interior is available in two wonderful wood options: light, smooth Apen, and rich, aromatic Thermo-Alder, both chosen for their durability and comfort. These interior woods have been chosen, because they don’t splinter and remain cool to the touch, even at high temperatures.

Surrounding the sauna is tempered double-glazed glass with a mirror effect, offering privacy while maintaining connection to the outside world. This glass allows sauna goers to see outside while preventing outsiders from seeing in. The glass is very well insulated, resulting in minimal heat loss. Heat loss through the glass is so insignificant, that this sauna works very well even in the coldest parts of Canada & USA.

The roof of the sauna is crafted with EPDM, a high-performance synthetic rubber known for its exceptional weather resistance, flexibility, and longevity. Lastly, illuminating the sauna are IP-65 rated LED strips for both interior and exterior lighting. These lights create a warm and inviting atmosphere, and have been designed in a way that you can’t see the sauna goers inside even when it’s dark outdoors.

Wood-fired version of Hele Double has natural gravity based ventilation. Electric version has mechanical ventilation, which means that there’s ventilation machines under the benches ensuring excellent airflow & equal temperatures.

Electric Ventilation

The Hele Double electric sauna version has mechanical ventilation. There are quiet machines under the benches that ensure a sufficient airflow in the sauna. Thanks to this system, all levels inside the sauna stay equally warm, allowing you to enjoy oxygen rich sweating for a long period of time.

Wood-Fired Ventilation

The Hele Double with wood-fired heater has natural ventilation. Wood burning inside the heater consumes oxygen, and the heater's exhaust vent facilitates airflow by expelling combustion gasses and drawing fresh air into the room. Other than that, there’s strategically placed intake and exhaust vents ensuring equal temperatures, oxygen levels, and airflow inside this sauna.

Ceiling Options

You will have two ceiling options: standard or a juniper ceiling. Our preferred choice is the juniper ceiling. When heated, Juniper creates a light wooden aroma inside the sauna. Juniper ceiling has real pieces of Juniper attached to the roof, giving the roof that special look and feel. Standard ceiling has alder or aspen cladding.

Sauna Heater

For the best possible sauna experience, the electric version of this sauna should be equipped with a HUUM Hive 10.5kW sauna heater. Wood fired versions should be equipped with (recommendation coming soon). Setting up

Delivery

This sauna is delivered fully assembled. You will need machinery on site to be able to move this sauna to its desired location. Sauna can be lifted from above. Sauna weighs 5746 lbs (without the heater). We will contact you before shipping to this sauna to discuss any necessary arrangements.

Electrical Requirements

This depends on the configuration you choose. Wood-fired version does not necessarily need any electricity. You can draw 110V lines for lights in wood-fired saunas if you want to. With the electric version, you will need a 240V/1PH electrical line on site to power the sauna and the heater. You will need a dedicated 50 Amp circuit breaker. Electrical work needs to be performed by a certified electrician.

Foundation

You can place this sauna on any leveled load bearing surface. There’s 10 adjustable legs on the bottom of the sauna which it will be standing on. The soil underneath the sauna should be removed and replaced with a well-drained and load bearing material (splinters, gravel, sand). Depending on the situation other foundations would work (concrete posts, screw pegs, asphalt). It is important to ensure that the surface is load-bearing, there is enough space for ventilation underneath the sauna and there is water drainage. In addition, it is important to limit the growth of flora underneath and around the sauna in order to minimize any defects from moisture. More information on the handbook.
